Pontiac brand is known for its sporty and performance-oriented vehicles. The brand right now has sporty models and powerful SUVs. The separate division of General Motors, Pontiac was started in the year 1909 in the name of Oakland Car Company of Pontiac at Michigan. During the time of oil crisis, Pontiac understood the pulse of the audience and was able to deliver compact fuel efficient cars namely Ventura and Phoenix. Then during 80s Pontiac launched Fiero as two seated vehicle but later it was turned into a stylish sports car. During 90s Pontiac unveiled minivan models like Sunfire and Montana. Then with the changing customer tastes company dropped old models and designed cars for new age. The models include Vibe, Solstice and G8 but due to financial troubles General Motors decided to withdraw the brand from 2010 model year.
